Speaking of Aunts
Those who are interested in kid pictures should take a look at Aunt Rose's blog. Especially the picture of Inge and Nelly in their dress-up clothes.

Four Hooligans
Nelly is doing very well. She likes being a big sister. It took her a little while to remember to call New Mamy "Lihhl Hwaire" (Little Claire--nearly impossible to spell--that's my best attempt) instead of "New Mamy." Whenever she sees or hears "Lihhl Hwaire" she is insists to point it out until you acknowledge.
Inge and Lewis making "Lechiccini." I asked what she was making and she told me, "lechiccini." Lewis, as you can see, provides the fighter jet backdrop upon which this culinary art takes place.
And a great big yawn.
And more...
More sweet little Claire.

Claire Simone
Claire Simone Roise was born at 10:06 pm March, 13 (cousin Jak's birthday). She weighs 8 lb 14 oz and measures 22.5 in. long. Thank you to all of you who prayed. God answered your prayers and was gracious to us with a fast, uncomplicated delivery.
Claire is named after her lovely mother, of course; and also with our friends' daughter Mercy Claire Douglas, in mind. Mercy Claire lived only 5 days in this world.

On Prayer and the Afterlife
During a family discussion on death today, Lewis voiced the main objection: in a voice heavy with emotion, he protested, "But if I died, I wouldn't be able to see my...cars."
Later, we prayed over our lunch, and it seemed fitting to tag on a postscript: "Also, please forgive Lewis for chewing so loudly with his mouth open the whole time we prayed."
So Inge responds piously: "Lord, hear our prayer."

Weekly Blog
The kids and I went out for ice cream and beer, Saturday afternoon. Nice that we can go somewhere and get both. :)
I now have a bike that can handle some gravel so I can ride out of town and get shots like this.
Nelly was bracing for the flash, I believe.
Notice how Lewis manages his pants while running. This is typical.
I took this picture while driving.
I'm a little short on Nelly pictures this week, so nothing too special here, just a picture of Nelly.
We've had a lot of this kind of snow-sleet-rain stuff. I've heard it said that Moscow has two seasons--Summer and Mud.
Inge pontificating--also fairly typical.
Inge and Nelly doing tricks.
Inge smiling. :)
Louie smiling in a Gap cap.
Don't forget to notice the fellow with the camera and the tuxedo in the back seat.
